How much land do you own? Sounds like you are going to sell anyways but I'd still talk to someone about it.

Is your lot large enough then to build outbuildings? What about driveways? Alot of what you can do on your lot has to do with how much you own. By selling part, you could be limiting future plans. Also, some areas require land owners to own certain amounts of acreage also.

Tough call you have but I'd still do some research and talk to people...and work it out with the neighbor. Tell him you'll sell it to him but he ALSO has to pay lawyer fee's to see what affects it'll have on your land down the road.

Good luck!

Apparently you are only aware of his fishing violations. Go ask CK why he isn't allowed to own a gun.

What does that have to do with a felon who is bad mouthing a fishing violation? He also states hewould never do anything "fishing illegal" but he gets a felony instead....really?

The playing "victim" thing really bugs me, I will be the first to admit that I am not a role model citizen. In fact I have multiple felony convictions for MY mistakes. These actions were years ago and I have since changed my ways and regret making the decisions I made. I have paid my dues to society through probation and jail time. But I NEVER once played the poor me card.

With that said I have never once did something to jeopardize my fishing rights (privileges), hell if a fish is within half an inch of the slot I throw it back in case some officer with a GOD complex measures it differently.

Some people just need to grow up and accept responsibility for their actions!

so it sounds like my reply to my friends was correct, unless its a man made lake, its not a private lake. That is what i thought, and i also thought i read on hear awhile back that every lake has a platt easement. Now this may only be a call it "five foot wide area" that stretches from the nearest road to the lake, and this area is open land, not homeowner land even if it may fall on what a homeowner thinks is their land. The use of this area is used for platting out the lake, kind of like a gps point? may be wrong here but i thought i read this on another post awhile back. Again this would be on a lake that does not soley fall on one landowner property.

You're reading this to deeply. Any lake that has no public access is often called a "private" lake cause the public can't get to it. It can be owned by one or one hundred people but since the other 6.7 trillion poeple have no access to it (other then by land owners), people "consider" it private! But yes, if you can fly onto it or shoot yourself from a cannon, you can fish it!

Unojiggy, no, I don't think it's my lake but you can say what you want, I welcome anyone and will help anyone who is in need, like getting trucks unstuck because their lazy and cannot walk. I welcome people up to the area but a few guys that come up to fish surely doesn't keep our community going like you stated, it helps but we don't depend on you! We get a lot more people in the area snowmobiling and hunting then ice fisherman.

I will be done with this topic since nobody here agrees with me or the locals in the area. Have a nice day and I cannot wait til the ice gets too thin for wheelers and trucks. Not only does the fishing get better, but all the yahoos can't figure out what to do without their truck or wheeler on the ice next to them.

Good day!

You must bike or walk to work don't you? or maybe you take your canoe or paddle boat out in the summer? Wow...to lazy cause I drive my truck on a lake? are you kidding? Why in the He11 would I want to walk 2 miles through snow and slush when i can drive a vehicle? seriously!

After reading something so stupid I may just drive around all day on BSL instead of fishing now!
