The main thing I am upset with is it is a manufacturing problem. Not a misuse or battery problem. There very well can be thousands of good ones out there but this one is not.

My main fishing buddy after years of me telling him to stick with them main two, Marcum or Vexilar, purchased a Hummingbird 55 a year or two ago. Fast forward to a year or two after purchase and the motor stops working.....shows a few things on the screen for numbers but "it no spin". Common problem as far as I am concerned.

Just in case you ask, I am not a rookie to locators and we have checked the battery.

There are two options I have given him:

1. Send it back to Hummingbird for there flat charge of $175.00 (Holy crap!) and just pay the man.....

2. Put the piece of crap in the garbage can.....
