What is everyone using to fish timber? Ive been exploring rivers recently and wondering if anyone has found a "go to" jig that doesnt hang up as much as standard jigs but also doesnt effect hook sets. Lookin for something that would work with live bait or plastics for smallies and walleye. Any advice would be appreciated

I recently purchased a jon boat with a 96 35hp evinrude and i noticed today a little red led that occasionally blinks when trimmed up in skinny water, My first thought was oil but after checking the reservoir im still about 3/8 full. Could it be a bad sensor? or is this some sort of on board diagnostics telling me something is wrong? Any info would be appreciated! Also any recommendations for a repair manual?
Thanks in advance

Yes i opted to set up in advanced as i read it gives more options when familiar with the unit. The manual was pretty vague i read through that and also resorted to youtube and found nothing. Maybe it just has the one speed. I feel as though it might be slow but it could actually be functioning optimally and im just that unfamiliar with the technology. This thing is like cheating compared to my old unit

Is ping speed the same as chart speed? Just recently upgraded from an x4pro and i feel like when the sonar page is up the scolling is slow. Is that just how it is? Ping speed is on highest or fastest setting. Anyone have the hook series that can offer tips?

Anyone care to share some lakes theyve had success on? Ive always been predominantly a bass guy but this year im looking to get on some fish for the freezer. Crappies or eyes! Recently had some success in the princeton area using my electronics to target walleye and needless to say im hooked. Feel free to pm me if you dont want to do a name drop and im not one to let the word out either. Just lookin for somewhere close i can run out to with the fam and bring a few home. Fished mille lacs alot when i was younger but with the slot/restrictions id rather fish where i can bring home a little snack. Ive been researching lakes via the dnr site with the lake surveys but unsure where to direct my efforts. Thanks for reading, any advice would be greatly appreciated
