Ya, I seen that live. He was pizzed off for sure. But he didn't do much when he had the chance as well. Maybe he thinks he should be the starter but that's not going to be his roll. They have a younger RB they want to play. He has to adjust that he no longer is No. 1 and accept it. good luck.

Thanks guy's. JoeHere I have fished Boulder, Rice, Fish, and Island since the late 60's. We never caught crappies back then, just walleye's and a few pike. Never got a walleye that day but it was bright and calm for the most part. Needed a good chop but we were happy with the crappies. You are blessed to live there. My family still lives there but I moved down here after the Steel Mill closed. I worked there right after I got back from the Army. good luck.

Went to Boulder Lake yesterday and did well with crappies. Met my brother there and jumped in his boat. Biggest was 14 but most were 10-11 inches. Water was calm for the most part but had a breeze later in the day. Was not a hot bite all day, we had to find them and we had good action for an hour and then there were dry spells as well but we had fun and a good meal down the road. good luck.

Got them done yesterday and vac packed them today. Some are going up with me tomorrow for my brother when I head to Duluth for some walleye fishing. The recipe is in my site below in the Homemade Sausage page. Didn't have time for the smoker so the oven came in handy. 225 deg. until the internal was 160 and then the cold water bath. This is one of my family's favorites and a winner every time. I do add garlic because I add garlic to everything. good luck.

Chris, you have always given some great posts on here, but this is not about the past. Even these native American's have changed just like everyone else. Would you hunt deer or moose or grouse if they were in danger of loosing their population? Why did the DNR change area zone's of deer hunting area's to help out moose numbers if they did not think the moose population is not in danger? It is not about African American's, or German Americans, or Native Americans's or anyone else. It's about the moose population we should all be worry'd about. 60 moose or 100 moose. The fact is that here in Minnesota the moose are not doing good. History of native Americans and us good or bad does not solve this issue. It is about the moose, not about the white guy or the native Americans. good luck.

Non of us living now are responsible for what happened in the past. We learn from the past never to repeat it again OK. No excuse for this hunt however. What has the past to do with with today? You can relive many things that happened in the past. We learn from those events. This is common sense and ethical practice not about what happend many years ago. good luck.

I think everyone has had some good points here. At least we are civil with each other because this is a great subject. JoeHere, I understand your points and your view. 66 moose is a big deal. We are talking about a moose population that is not increasing. I think we should make it a protective species if we could at this point.

This is not about some tribe or tribes having right to do something. It is about what is the right thing to do. I want to bring my grandkids up north so they can see these amazing animals along with the rest of the wildlife. I have spent most of my life up north in the Arrowhead area and I have seen the decline in the moose population. Lot of factors why including wolves. Anyone who spends enough time there knows the wolves are out of control. So make the moose the protective species until they get a healthy population and take the wolf off the protective list. They got it ass backwards.

This is different generation in native Americans as I see it in this example. Protectors of nature is no longer the case. I can't think of any sane person who loves the outdoors who would want to hurt any species that is already hurting. We all including native Americans want to see our kids and grandkids enjoy hunting and fishing like we had. This type of action doesn't help at all.

Nobody within those tribes is starving, not even close. Get a deer licence and enjoy venison. Hell, there are years I don't get a deer. I really don't care, because I'm up in the wilderness where the population of deer are not as great as in central and southern Minnesota.

What on earth drives someone to willingly hunt a species that should be protected. To me that's not hunting, that is greed. No personal ethics at all. No longer the protector of the wild. Just because you have a right does not make it right. good luck.

That would be nice. Time that we are all Americans and that we all are treated the same. I see that they are netting Red Lake again. Cub's are selling Red Lake walleye's. I thought they were never going to do that again after we taxpayers stocked that lake again. good luck.
