Went out in front of the cabin this weekend. 7-9 inches so I drove the wheeler about anywhere I wanted to. There are MANY heaves around which makes it tough to get to a lot of places without going all the way around them. Not sure how it is from town Bay to the main part of the lake so be careful as there was very thin to open water around some of these heaves. Not sure how the north end was.

Everything was open this weekend around Alex. Minnewaska was 90% capped over so I'm guessing it will be ok to walk on by this weekend. I fished on a smaller lake yesterday that had around 4 inches but I know most of the lake didn't have that. Supposed to be warm today but it wont affect the ice much. The days are short now and the ice is so clear I'm not to worried about the sun doing any damage.

A few smaller shallower lakes are froze. I know one had 5 inches on Sunday, but some areas had around 3. I'm guessing with no sun out it didn't effect it much but this drizzle could be a different story. It will get below freezing at night the rest of the week so I'm guessing it will be fine by the weekend.

I highly doubt it especially with the wind today. If there is any ice at all it would be shore ice and by tomorrow it will be gone with it being 40*

Road ditches and drainage ditches. It is everywhere when you drive down the road and just watch for it

I would get ahold of Marcus at Reel Therapy Guide Service in Webster. Looks like a real class act. I have heard horror stories from a previously mentioned guide.
