I just bought a 2018 1875 Lund Impact XS with a 150 based on the recommendation of three friends who have the same boat (or the 2017 version 1850) and they fish Mille Lacs, Leech, and LOTW a majority of the time. They say it handles well in the wind. Hope this helps.

As an attorney, I see no legal footing for you to stand on. You are a Wisconsin resident who is being treated the exact same as every other Wisconsin resident. There is no discrimination or equal protection issue. When fishing the border waters, you must follow your states laws and Wisconsin says you need their license, just like if you want to fish any other body of water within the border. This has nothing to do with your lifetime license. The only reason your lifetime license was valid for fishing border waters when you lived in MN was because you were a resident, so your license complied with MN border water law.

You're not being treated any differently than any other Wisconsin resident. I'm sure there are several WI residents with MN non-resident fishing licenses, who without a WI fishing license, cannot fish border waters. Your lifetime license and their non-resident MN license allows you to fish the 10,000 lakes, just not border waters.

I haven't been in others, but I absolutely love my Eskimo 9416i Fatfish. I can easily set it up myself in minutes and it's very roomy. Stayed very warm too.

Too many variables to give a good answer. Depends on the dehydrator, thickness, etc. When I do mine, it generally takes 8 hrs. I would recommend taking it out before you think it is completely done because it ends up drying out more while it cools. If you take it out and it is really crispy, immediately throw it in a ziploc bag and it will retain some moisture. (unless that's how you like it)

Lurkingwalter - I would suggest a few meat processing related items including:
1) Tarp to lay meat on while quartering and to protect from rain if you need to leave quarters hanging over night
2) Pepper or some other product to keep flies off the meat
3) Paracord
4) Game bags
5) Compact ultralight hammock for mid-day snooze - far from a necessity, but provides for a comfortable nap can be used to camp out too with the right accessories

When I first got mine about 15 years ago, it was great. You'd get $50 for signing up friends, $150-$200 off coupons if you spent $500, and way better sales. I used it for everything and paid off every month and as a result I got three guns and a bow with my points and have another $450 waiting to be spent. My biggest complaint now is the coupons that they send out are pathetic, I believe the most recent was $75 off for spending $500 (15%), and it can't be used online. Hardly worth the trip.

Dan,

I was told that the main lake locked up last night, so it will be awhile before you and the wife can bring the wheelhouse out there. If you want an update, get my number from Carrie and I'll keep you posted.

My dad just informed me that Koronis had 15 inches where he was at and some trucks were driving on. I would guess it varies a decent amount depending what part of the lake your on though.
