HI thinking of getting a butt seat and adjustable pedestal for the front of the boat. Do you like them? Mostly want something to lean on when casting all day. I'm 5.5 tall should I get the tallest pedestal I can 22-28 is on option. Thanks

Nice job guys!! opener on Sat. was slow for me but on Sunday around the Hutch area got 9 pike all over 26 inches biggest was 31 inches that was fun. Did not see any bass but I will go with what's hitting.

Looking back at my log books in 2013 it was a long ice out. The bass and other fish seemed finicky but as it got warmer the bite was a lot longer into the summer months. Do you think this opener I should look for bass deeper or shallower or more structure oriented. I don't want your spot etc. I'm just trying to feel out what others are thinking. I will let the fish tell me they always tell me I'm in the wrong spot . I know the pan fish are not shallow yet like other years by now. Thanks

Lake Ripley in Litchfield was 50% open today. Took the boat out but the wind shifted the ice toward the landing had to get off quick OOPs! I would guess it would be ice free with the wind tomorrow.

Wow that ice looks bad was it mostly on the bottom half? I got wet already so I hung it up for the year.

Yep I know everyone wants to get out. Looking at the map this is right on the river does this open up pretty quick in the spring? I need to replace bunks on my trailer thought this may be an option rather than on opener, OK just kidding on the opener.

Hi bought a Scheels tournament $100 series rod 6.6 medium with extra fast tip. Paired to a pflueger president 6925 reel. I normally get shorter rods because I'm 5.4'. rod rated for 1/16-3/8 ounces. I will use this 90% for wacky rigging some small jigs with a curly tail plastic and it seems like it would make a nice panfish rod also. Never had a extra fast tip just want to know if this should work feels good in the hands.

Just in general southern MN thanks for the replies. I heard that the MN river was open some but I'm sure it is open in places all the time.
