Well here is something new I tried. BBQ ribs with Gochujang sauce. I've been using hot bean paste that I get from a Korean grocery store for years. Use it for my hot chicken that I make a lot. See the recipe page on my site for that. But I googled gochujang sause just for the heck of it and found this sauce recipe on bon appetit site. Made it up and it is awesome. Has some heat but the main thing is it has flavor. Takes a little time to make but it's worth it. Put it on some baby back ribs. I love it. good luck.

Looks awesome, i love gochujang. I stumbled upon a spicy korean BBQ sauce that I like, will have to post the recipe for that. Will you post the recipe for the sauce you made?

You don't have to use the Traeger pellets. I have a green mountain which is basically the same thing as the traeger and have run green mountain, treager, lousiana, yoder, and some cheaper pellets through mine. They all work fine...I did find that running the cheap pellets I used quite a bit more pellets and ended up with more ash.

My advice would be to buy a quality pellet and get the one you can get the best price on whether treager or not. If you have room and can buy in bulk, you can get a pretty good deal. Call the guy at pellet grills of minnesota and see what he can set you up with.

The answer is simple, PRESSURE, PRESSURE, PRESSURE! Attached are recent photos of how many walleyes you can catch in hours on the reservation side. Believe it or not the reservation side of Red gets very little pressure. The fish simply swim they're way to less pressure, then live there. The bait fish also swim there way to less pressure. Cracking ice, generators, augers. Over the New year weekend holiday, Roger's sold 9000 lake road passes in 3 days. Less pressure will equal better fishing, always does.

Wow...stewards of the environment.

I stayed in a sportman's sleeper Fri 1/1 - Sun. Did very well, no slot fish but overall numbers and quality was very good. No one lure was really any better than another.

Thanks Tad, I'll have to give them a call. I'm headed up to my folks near Moose Lake and looking for a scoop of fat heads. Wasn't planning on going until tomorrow so was going to grab some on the way, but decided to head up tonight instead to try to beat the snow that is on its way in that area.

Anyone know of a bait store that is open today or that has a fridge with bait and honor system?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Word is getting around that Rodgers is trying to evacuate anglers from the ice sheet. The DNR is on hand to help. Seems that the high winds are moving the ice sheet and a big crack opened up. Anglers reported flashers showing depth changes...turned out they were trolling on the ice.

Where are you hearing this? No mention of it on any of their sites or posts...

consider the humminbird ICE 35 too. same price point and the vex and marcum. Marcum and vex run on the same frequency...with interference rejection you should be able to avoid any problems. However the humminbird runs on an entirely different frequency so you'd never run into issues running it next to a vex or marcum.
