No on the snow, and cold, its still September, almost gone. there will be plenty of cold and snow coming, Some of us like a long fall for open water fishing.

I fear Leech may be headed towards the Mille Lacs situation. Next year they may change the slot a bit to allow 1 over 20", fun catching big ones I know, but slots allow for recovery but in the long run? I do not know

April 13th, 35" Shingobee bay, 35"" down by whipholt, 30" steamboat bay, still snow on the lake. Average ice out is April 28th, earliest April 2nd, latest May 23rd 1950! that must have been a dandy winter and spring.Things can change fast, but they better start changing soon. 2013 I believe the ice went out on Sunday of the opener. I hope I am wrong, but outlook is not too good.

Thanks, very very good suggestions, I've been their many springs and have seen what can happen, and some to me.
