Will be staying at Randy,s Rentals just South of the Casino by about 4 miles. This weekend friday, Sat. If your in the area stop and say Hi, Look for the yellow flags. Or just check with Randy to find out where we are on his plowed road. Hopefully will catch some fish, but either way it will be a hoot.

It was real slow up there when we were there. Had places of 3 to 6 inches of ice only. But Beer was cold, the Pie was hot and good times had by all.

Russ at Marine General is a stand up guy. If you were closer I say buy local. Check with your local dealers maybe they will do a price match, that means no waiting and shipping.

Last year at a Fish Lake contest guy walks up slaps it on my Marcum and says , What ya think? I said hey kind of cool thanks. He say's $10.00 bucks. I say see ya take that thing with ya. Well wouldn't ya know it a couple days ago a buddy unzips the house and sticks his head in. Hanging out of his mouth is a cig. with a hot ash,. Where does it fall in the Marcum lense and of course its tipped up so you can view it. By the time you reach and tip it is burning in the plastic. Also would probably help outside on a snowy day. Still not worth the money to me.

Boulder Lake, No Driving.
Fish Lake, Dam access only with 200 yards out for driving.
Pike Lake, No driving. Watched tow truck to nite pull some one out that was about 300 yards out.
Even with this cold there is still slush on the ice under the snow. and where i parked today at the dam the ice was only about 12 inches. But yes getting better. But Sno-mo travel is great and what we were using to get out the 3 miles on fish and were going through slush still. Good luck, Be safe!

Last year I bought the Fish Trap Pro, It is nice for 1 person on 1st ice. But after that I did not enjoy. I like to stand and stretch every once in awhile and with the pro the only way that was going to be done is if you were on your knees. So this year I asked for a house trade and ended up with trading my pro for the Otter team Wild house. Perfect for 1 person, was easy to pull on 1st ice and now big enough to add more equipment now that we are using sno-mo's. Oh by the way I can stand and also if needed can fish two people with 1 hole a piece.

Been out on Boulder 3 times now and good Walleye bite the 1st two times. Last Sat. I changed location about 50 yards and the bite was Northern all day. Will be fishing Wed. up at Fish Lake Dam, maybe, just maybe might get into a few crappies.
