Haven't been on Grind all winter. Let us know how you do if you go. Glad you got a new truck. Jim

I got stuck on West Rush Wednesday. (Thanks to Nick ? P. for getting me out).

What is travel like on Rush and Pokegama this weekend?

I am hesitant about getting out until I hear some positive reports on travel.

Thanks. Jim

Sounds like you had great success on Grindstone. Wish I had gotten there earlier but maybe try this fall. JIm

Walleye landing is about halfway between Pokegama Lake and Hwy 70 bridge. Probably a bit closer to Hwy 70 bridge. Well marked DNR landing just off of Hwy 7.

No I didn't get to Gindstone yet. How is fall fishing there? Too many great places to fish and too little time, I guess! Did you get there and how did you do?

a bit green but not bad at all. Water temp 78 degrees. Almost warm enough for me to swim! caught the crappies in 13 - 20 ft.

2 of us caught some decent crappies and sunnies on West Rush yesterday afternoon/evening. A couple crappies were 9 1/2 ". Caught about 20 fish and kept 12. What a beautiful afternoon/evening to be out. Tried a bit for walleyes toward dark but no luck.

My electrical plug from my truck to my trailer was stolen yesterday afternoon at the West Rush Lake landing. Not a big loss but still annoying. I used to take it in when I went out but got careless and have never had a problem in the past. I know there has been a problem there in the past. Just a little warning. As long as I'm complaining, my right side of my truck was scraped as I was out fishing on Robour Lake about a month ago. Very tight lot but would have appreciated a note anyway.

Thanks guys. I know a couple of spots I can walk out so I think I'll play it safe. Was really hoping to get out farther one more time.
