Was out of Bellaire on NYE, had around 8-10 inches. Didn't measure the ice though. Didn't catch much either.

Has anyone used the plans off fishhouseplan to build a wheelhouse or off any other website? Looking for feedback.

Thanks!

I'm heading up Wednesday this week and the forecast looks like it is going to be cloudy while I'm up.

What's everyone's "go to" rig on cloudy days on LOTW?

Thanks!

Wasn't able to get out while I was up over the weekend. Did see a few guys out on lakes in the Mahtowa area.

I did not know it froze out. Guess it would still be worth a shot to see what is left in there if anything.

Great news Joe!
What lakes did you check? I am heading up this weekend and am looking to get out.

Have you ever fished Hay lake? It is close to my in-laws house and have been itching to try it out.

Thanks.

Went out last Saturday around 1pm to a new area of the lake trying for midday Walleye or pretty much anything that would bite. Ran into a ton of small perch and ended up icing a couple small pike. Did get a couple dink walleye after dark largest was 12". Fished anywhere from 17 to 35 ft of water. . Stayed out until 11pm. It got super foggy at around 4:30 and you could barely see 50 yds. Long day on the ice but we had plenty of beer, snacks and beauty weather so it was not a bad day on the ice. People were driving all over but we walked out with the amount of water and slush on the lake.

Any other recent reports from the Bear?

There is a huge ice heave but people have been getting over it with trucks. Lots of water on the back side of it though. It's easy enough to bring a wheeler so that's what I would do

Went out of Mahtomedi beach last night. The heave is about 3ft tall. myself and a few other guys went around and walked out. Fished from 3:30 to 10 and only caught a few small crappies and a small pike. Really slushy and slippery on the way back in.

Heading back out to the Bear this afternoon to goof around with an Ifish pro tip up. Not 100% on where I'm going to try but it will not be Bellaire.
