We stole the land.(easiest way to say it)To me assimilate means to do so by free-will not force. There are things "events"in history that no matter how you slice it it is still WRONG.You're debating about who got the best deal in the treaty signing???????????Give me a break you really think the Natives think they got anything worth while out of that?BTW most of the welfare( 70 percent+)go to non minorities of this nation.Be careful when you claim only the strong survive.Strength comes in many different forms.c63

I know your hung up on certain words that seem to irritate you.Im not trying to put comments or words in any ones post.If you want to substitute people or customs for culture that is fine. When it comes to hunting/fishing and gathering all "cultures"do some things the same identical way.Imagine that!c63

Again, i'm not disagreeing with any points for or against moose hunting.............just trying to get down to the reasons/solutions to working TOGETHER on these and many other natural resource issues that face us ALL!Once moose or any resource for that matter is extinct..............gone for EVERYONE for whatever reason you enjoy or hate it!Acknowledgment and understanding of ones past is the beginning or start to a new era.Is it even possible to not make the same mistakes if were unaware of our past ones?????Everything going forward has some connection to what is already established. It's always about the past!c63

Ridiculous comment at Best!

Hey Chris63, when was the last time you were told where to live and what language you had to speak. Why dont you move forward like 150-200 years and join the USA. Come on in the waters fine!
I'm just pointing out SOME obvious reasons for why the cultures can't seem to see eye to eye on ANY of these issues.Do you really think that trying to understand or at least acknowledge the past histories of America is rediculous then God help us all!c63

Plastic coated line shines outside when temps are below zero on a hand line or tip ups.If your above freezing (in fishouse)I like to use cheapie dacron black or green line.Easy to hand line in and with white walls easy to see line movement (during daylight)hours.I use 6 pound mono/fluorocarbon (6 foot or so),swivel and then the lure.Million ways to rig million to present said rig.Think ice have fun!!!!!!!!c63
