Nice bird. Turkey reaping is a riot. Killed my last two like that. One I had to shoot at 2 yards he was coming right for me.

Since I started using permethrin spray I haven't had a problem either. What is in the clothing?

I think same stuff but its fused into the fabric so no mess or dealing with spray and its good for 70 washings. I've had mine for 5 years now and no issues yet. I only wash em 2 or 3 times a year though.

Not supposed to get the spray stuff on your skin so its nice not having to wait for it to dry once you spray it and don't have to worry about that.

I think I got whole set of pants/shirt/facemask/glvoes for like $90 on clearance. Yet to have a tick even on the bad years, just make sure its all tucked in.

This is a good review by just some dude, but kind of shows all the comparisons.

Hopefully a lot of melting will occur this week. On the bright side there shouldn't be any ticks out yet.

I wear Elimitick hunting clothing, haven't had a tick in 4 years since I bought the stuff. I think its made by GameHide. Stuff is the real deal.

I'm trying to figure out the logistics of hunting this week, my decoys aren't tall enough..... 20 inches of snow, 24in decoys, ha.

Found the mother load last night, about 100-120 of them, 40 or 50 toms. Knocked on some doors and I'm in! Now I'm excited for season to start.

Yeah I'm going to have to figure out how to set my ground blind up and get it to blend into the snow. Maybe I just go up a day ahead of time and make a snow fort...

They don't care, as long as it isn't moving and you have no light peaking into your blind they won't mind it at all. Deer are a different story.

I'm guessing central MN won't be real fun next weekend, I've seen anywhere from 13-24 inches now.

Anyone try Ghost River Lodge? They have very reasonable father/son packages it looks like.
