No spinners for us, just plain hook with bead 5'-6' leader, 7-12 feet of water, shallow rocks, large leeches. Last time up we got 7 keepers and 3 nice overs. All the overs were caught on the shallow side of the big break over by the river.

Been up a few times this summer to the cabin. Shallow rock walleye bite pullin leech rigs has been good for us.

I say none of them should be protected and all of them should be managed. Most will just continue to SSS on their properties.

I have seen wolves while hunting the deep woods in St.Croix State Park. That's the furthest south Ive seen one.

I hooked it up to the muffs last night and wasn't peeing, very weak drip. I took off the hose from the motor to the cowl and blew it out with an air hose, I could feel the sand/dirt/debris hitting my hand. Put it back together and turned on the water, fired it up and it has never peed so good!

I have an 08 Merc 2 stroke 50. At idle it does not pee, when I rev it up its just drips. At full throttle its coming out but not shooting out. Any tips before I rip it all apart? Things I could try before I take it apart?

I was going to go hydraulic but ended up sticking with hand cranks. I do have the EZ up drill adapter for putting the house up that I use in my cordless impact, which saves a lot of man power. I shyed away from the thought of hydraulics, cold temps and electric motors. I know I can get my house up one way or another if needed.

The guy on the article says he will make sure to bring everything home with him and make sure its locked. Good idea to bring stuff home but locking the house will only get him a busted door, unfortunately.

I was up last weekend and didn't have an extension with for my clam plate with 7" Mora. First spot on 2 mile I was able to get through with my house all the way down on the ice and had to drill with the handles resting on the floor, barely made it through. 2nd spot further north on 2 mile I must have been on a snow pack and couldn't finish the holes with the house all the way down. Had to chisel about the last 2". Needless to say, I have an extension on the way.

I've been out there twice now. Lots of 7-9" fish. First time we caught 73 fish on the clicker between 3 of us, mostly crappies with sunnies mixed in (Monday 1/1) only 12 keepers (9 crappies, 3 sunnies). Not bad though for 4 hours.

We went out again on Sunday 1/7, fished from 11:30-4. Caught 52 fish between 2 of us on the clicker. About half sunnies and half crappies. Only 9 keepers ( 4 crappies, 5 sunnies) Lots of small fish.
