Ive got a die hard marine group 27 and starting battery. Got them on sale at Sears a few years ago and haven't had any problems. They run a radio and 2 graphs.

Sorry this happened. When the weather gets this cold police fire and ems have to take life safety as a priority. If a car accident happens in a rural area a person can freeze very quickly. Throw in a bunch of car wrecks with extraction and fender benders that need to have reports written and you can see how busy it can get. It doesn't mean that the police don't care or aren't dedicated but life safety is the priority. They will try to find your ice house but they can't dedicate people to do it when they're busy doing reports for car accidents all day.

I love those reservoirs up there. I grew up fishing them and used to catfish the island lake dam. Awesome fish

X2 on i boats. Great place. I also called around and found my fuel filter for $7 at Nelson marine instead of $14- $20 online so it pays to shop around.

All I have to say is this. People that make a living on Mille lacs should have a say in how it's managed. This includes resort owners guides and lake shore owners. Dayton did a good thing by promoting the world class smallmouth bass population. Its sad that the walleye population has been down but the resort owners need to fill rooms and cabins. Who cares if they do it with bass Muskie or walleye guys. All I can say is that most walleye guys have moved North to leech or vermilion. It's Its sad but if they can't keep fish that's what's happening. Bass guys and muskie guys are hitting Mille lacs hard and thats good. I'm a walleye guy but I'll be up there fishing out of red door soon enough because the lake is still great for walleye. Bass guys and muskie guys tell ur friends to fish it and help the resort owners out.

I would call mercury direct. I just talked to their tech people and they were very knowledgeable. The will get you on the right path. Just have the Id number so the can look up your specific motor.

Another fix might be to run the power cord directly to the battery. I got some marine duplex wire and some marine ring terminal connectors and ran it directly to the battery. Works awesome and now I know the connections are good to go. I used solder and some crimping on the ring terminals. There was also a 3 amp in line fuse I wired in that came with the unit. Good luck

I've seen them on kabetogama. I thought the fish didn't like them though I heard they expell a nasty scent and taste to the fish.
