I have made two trips to rainy so far this year with eyecrazy, the first was on the 5th 6th and 7th and was unreal, and the second was last Saturday. On the first trip we launch out of Manitou Rapids and didn't have to go far and we where on fish. The first day we managed 40 walleyes and one sturgeon. The second day was our best and we ended up catching about 60 walleyes and 22 Sturgeon. The third day we caught about 50 walleyes and 3 sturgeon. Anchoring and pitching was key, 3/8 hair jig tipped with rainbows seem to work the best, we also did ok on plastics. The best bite was 10-12 FOW for eyes and 28-31 for sturgeon. Our biggest sturgeon was just over 63 and biggest eye was 26. Last weekend everything changed we launch out of Frontier and ended up fishing sturgeon most the day ended up catch 3 Biggest being 55.

I have been doing very good just off of mid lake structure, 25 to 33 FOW has been good for me. Another thing that has really helped is down sizing and really slowing down. When I mark a fish I almost stop my spoon completely.

My best luck this year has been on pink plastics and a genz worm with 2 waxies, I think all of these cold fronts are really messing with them. It seems like they aren't in the mood to feed.

I fished Koronis and had some success, nothing fantastic like Leech or Mille Lacs but some mornings can be pretty good. I would say 20 fish is probably my best morning on Koronis.

Last night i had the best night on the ice this so far this season. I guess the warm weather turned the fish on. My dad and I got out to house at about 2:30 and right away it was game on. First fish that came up the hole was a nice 13 inch crappie, we caught a few more crappies but at about 4:00 they really turned on and we ended up catching about 50 fish by 6:00. The smallest crappie we caught was 12 inches and the biggest was a huge 15 1/2 incher, we also caught a few bonus gills. We were fishing in 45 FOW and the fish were suspended about 20-25 feet down. There was about 20-26 inches of ice and maybe an inch of snow on top with a few drifts.
