If anyone has made a cooler out of a refrigeration unit any tips on size etc would be much appreciated.

CHALET is closed due to the amount of large units going down onto the ice and getting stuck. Access on the west side now by Warner, could get muddy there too.

Pruden: the stretch to the creek is a mud fest but the creek good,

Balsalm, 103 and Beconnia access is good.

We have not had any real melt with temps being around -10 at night and zero during the day. That means the snow that drifted is hard and if any real hot temps quads could be a problem. Next week does not look like a real hot one though so quads on wheels should work. Lots of truck every where but seeing several stuck as well.

My favorite travel right now is still sled but wish I had a fan cooled sled. Suppose to be a light dusting of snow Sunday evening.

Lots of big fish being caught (yesterday in 4 hrs I iced 19 largest 28 1/2)

With the temps and the snow I will be leaving my quad at home until more melts. We are going out Friday and all via sleds. You might be OK but i hate getting stuck.

3422.....where are you planning on entering the lake. I would strongly NOT recommend a wheeled vehicle if heading out of Pruden or Patricia.

I was not fishing today but did drive up to check the snow on the lake. Went to Warner and Chalet (west side) They did not get as much snow as we did at Selkirk, my mode of travel would be via tracks. There were a few trucks out on the lake but we did have to pull a guy out of a drift.
There is a fishing derby on the 10 at Warner so it will be busy. Pruden should be good to go. I would park on the creek as that last stretch is MUD
OR if staying at the casino sled right from the casino down the Brokenhead.

Slow slow or did say slow. Did manage a 26 among the masses.

It is 730 pm and plus 4. Might be time to dig out my quad. I will post conditions after tuesday.

Counted 81 thats right 81 units at the Pruden access. The warm temps are making the mud trek to the creek MUDDY. Also the warm temps have made the final access from Pruden onto the lake almost impossible with a wheeled vehicle.
