Yes a point would be helpful for getting it started sometimes on very smooth ice.

Now that is Class, I sure hope what goes around comes around.

A couple of years ago we found a rod case and it turned out to be friends friend and he was mighty.

That is good advise to put your name inside your case.

Right colour/right jig/and right depth.

I actually have 2 Jiffy 30s that I don't use (due to the ION) and a fellow is interested in buying one. I had run them dry when I put them away so put in new Aspen 2 and after several primes got it to run and even idle. BUT

When I tried to throttle up it stalled unless I put the 1/2 choke on the carb.

I am sure this has been a subject of review before but cant find it.

THANKS.

This is my 3rd year with the ION. I have the 40Volt battery. Yesterday we drilled 12 holes through 40" of ice. I left the battery attached to the unit in the back my truck when I got home, got busy and forgot it. I just checked it and 2 of the 3 lights on.

Yes it may cut slower but LOVE LOVE LOVE that reverse especially with the thick ice we have this year.

Will admit I do not want to run out of battery life so carry a 2nd battery as insurance but like all good insurances I have never had to use it.

You are welcome Kirk.
You know if I can help I will lake Winnipeg is a big lake and with catch and release it is not an issue. All I ever ask is if you are able to take it on the lake then you should be able to take it off.
