I know a guy who turned a Stealth enclosed trailer into a fish house. He has 3 electric jacks... jacks it up, uses his impact to pop the tires off, and sets it down on the ice. Probably even quicker than a lot of ice castles. He put lights in it and insulated it, and put two camper windows in the sides. It sets low on the ice and with hole sleeves it works pretty well.

Works great for him as far as I know, and definitely a nice cheap option being it is completely dual purpose. I'd say go for it.

There was talk a while ago about a local fishery. I would like to see the tribe kick in along with tax payers for funding. Maybe a special stamp to pay for the effort. Hopefully we are moving in a positive direction.

IMO the lake doesn't need a fishery at all, the walleye population is awesome right now. I don't fish the lake a lot, but the little I have the last couple years it seems like it's super easy to find and catch walleye.

We bought a house on Mazaska in the Faribault area, so I will be hitting that lake hard! I am going to try to spend every weekend I can on Mille Lacs, as that lake should be absolutely loaded with fish this winter. Last winter was really good up there for us, this one should be even better.

I can't help with the flooring, but I went with carpet in my Firebrand shell and I am really happy I did. I was hesitant, everyone says carpet is a bad idea.... it is absolutely awesome. With the furnace on it's dry in a matter of an hour or two, it has yet to have any odor and I have fished and camped in this thing for 3 full seasons now. I thought I would just shampoo it once a year to keep it clean, but that hasn't been necessary at all. I do have a small area by the door with pressure sensitive vinyl floor, that probably helps with the snow/ice coming in the house on our shoes.

If I was you, I would go to menards and buy the cheap indoor carpet and be done with it.

If conservation really truly is a concern, why are people so focused on increasing the bag limit?!? By definition conservation would mean taking as little Walleyes as possible.

I know I am happy with how the lake is and I hope they maintain strict limits so the fishing can sustain like this, I fished the lake more in the last 6 months than I had in the last 6 years. I have thousands of dollars invested in fishing stuff, I am not too concerned with coming with 4 lbs of fillets instead of 2 lbs.

That seems like a design flaw, why would you want the cone angle to adjust with the gain? I guess I don't understand the reasoning behind it... I would think the ability to choose the cone angle first and then adjust the gain would work much better.

I know there are trucks all over Mazaska, but I would still be careful with where you travel. Not sure on Shields.

Been out of Garrison Sports the last two weekends, they go out to hour glass, 5 mile, 8 mile, etc. Twin Pines has a nice road too by the looks of it. There is no reason to go any further North. Nice road, two bridges. Not sure how the water on the ice will change things moving forward.
