I have both a Thorne Quiverstick and a TURC bullwhip. The bullwhip is more of a heavier noodle pole where the Quiverstick is designed so you feel the bite more than you would see it on the tip of the pole. I like my bullwhip a lot more than my quiverstick.

I thought the same thing. I have fished the north side of the lake, the main lake humps, and a couple spots on the south side with only 1 small walleye a spot.

I would buy bait somewhere on your way up over getting bait there. You dont get very many minnows in their scoop.

"Just go all the way to Waskish and stop at Hillmans and get bait and your road pass. Fatheads is all you need on Red. They dont have the high-priced road passes like some of these other guys. Have some friends up there now doing very well the last 36 hours. They open around 6am. "

Fished out of Hillmans last week they had their road staked 2 miles out and their access fee is only $10. Fishing was "Okay" fished straight out from the access on the first break and caught around 25 fish a day.

Made it out for an hour and a half after class tonight with alittle luck. Caught two nice walleyes with one being 23" and the other being 25" and a hand full of smaller fish. Ice was 12" where i was fishing tonight. I fished a small lake this morning before class and found the ice to be 15" where there was glare ice but under a snow drift to only be 10"

Tabers bait in Bemidji opens at 6:30. Ron always has good minnows. He supplies Rogers with minnows and West winds

My favorite spoon to fish out there all winter was the pink and white Tingler from VMC with the perch with the gold back was really good for me also.
