Shore fishing inland lakes we would make a slip sinker rig with a half oz weight, swivel, then 3-4 feet of line with plain hook and blown up crawler for bait.Cast it out and let sit with the bail open until a trout grabs and runs.In the boat we would troll small spoons or bettle spins slowly with the minnkota.Normally trolled in the mornings/evenings and shore fished during the day.

Cant stand bumper boats either. They all go to the same flat and sit on pretty much the same spot.None of them appear to be to aware of the fish that are on the other side of the lake, that works for me.

Minimum wage is also determined by the sales receipts of the establishment over the course of the years tax quarters and also the number of people employed. So some places in St.Paul/Mpls will never pay 15$ an hr.Sounds like some are not to happy that a tipped worker may make more money than they do..I dont care what minimum wage is if you cant or wont tip its simple- dont use the service.Stiff the wrong delivery guy and you may find your next order stuffed in your mailbox.

I work part time delivering food for some extra fishing money. If I didnt get tipped I wouldnt do it neither would a majority of others who have the same type of job.If you think all servers and delivery drivers make 15 an hour you havnt done your research..Go ahead and dont give them a tip its your choice, but dont expect great service next time you use them, thats their choice..I tip at restaurants, haircut, and the delivery driver if I order.Id never tip a guide but Id never hire one.Rather figure it out on my own or go down swinging either way I learn something new.

Im guessing it will be awhile.Hidden Falls,Lilydale, and 494 landings have been closed for a couple weeks now.Judging by the river gage I dont see them opening anytime in the next week or even 2 weeks...Water is dropping but still well above the level it was when the landings were closed to begin with...find what your looking for at water.weather.gov

Never had a problem mixing any type of minnows together, just dont mix too many minnows. The more you have the more space and fresh water they will need.I got a pretty nice setup going this winter.Theres a vacant apartment in my building and I got the building manager to let me keep all of my minnows in the bathtub.I picked up 3 areators and so far so good.Certainly helps that we have well water here for changing out all the water and I just put a strainer over the drain so no minnows go down.
