Had 4” of solid ice. The bite turned slightly negative and the fish got smaller with the cold snap. But it was a great way to start the season with slabs and a hog!

Fishing definitely slowed down this weekend. We were marking them like crazy but the fish were extremely negative especially to jigging. Most of our success came on the bobbers. We ventured out to deep water but the fish werent there. Just a couple dinks and alot thinner ice. Moved back to 11 fow and did better. I guess its time to start moving around and try to stay on top of the fish

I ended up taking the day off Tuesday and made a quick run up to my lake home. Nothing different then the last time except the box fish were smaller and the ones i threw back were even bigger which im not gonna complain about! . 10 fow. Lindy fatboy and cut shiner was on fire. There wasnt much of a day bite. It just came fast and furious from 4:30pm-5:45pm. It seemed like the more aggressive i jigged the bigger the fish got.

What a weekend. Limits across the board for everyone with plenty of fish either too big or small for the box. Had a couple broken line heartbreakers too. . The shiner bite is still on. Jigging a lindy fatboy and cutting 1/2 the body off a shiner outfished everything 5 to 1. The fish are starting to move off the weedline and shifting to deeper water. And it definitely paid off going deeper 2nite

Another solid weekend on the ice. Surprisingly after the warm weather i found up to 8” of good ice. Got most of the eyes jigging on the old reliable lindy fatboy green glow and shiners. Got a few bobber fishing with a vmc glow resin treble #14. Fished 9-10fow. With the overcast on Sunday we had 4 in the bucket by 1:30pm.

It was quite the weekend watching an ice castle sink while slaying eyes all at the same time. Found 5”-6” of good ice. I was able to get my alumalite skid house out with the atv’s. Fished 10fow. Slammed the eyes on vmc glow resin #14 with a small shiner. I even got to pose with a few eyes in front of the sinking ice castle (just to clarify this ice castle was not mine!!!!). Heading back out this weekend hoping to find enough walkable ice with the portables. Stay safe out there and dont bring ur ice castles out yet unless u wanna sink them! LOL

Yes it can also be used as a spear house. Theres 4 catch cover holes (2 on each side) but also has a large flip up spear hole on each side. It weighs under 500 lbs finished so it can be used on 4" of ice

Thanks for the help. I ended up going with the new ion x. Everything seems great with it except for the fact i have to buy a 10" bit separate. Cant wait to try it out in the new skid house
