What type of rod are you looking for?

6'9"-7' medium/xfast style that he can use for jigging raps/shivers. Pretty much everything he owns is a ML/fast or xfast because he's always been a lindy guy but he loves my aetos that's mh/xfast for jigging raps/shivers and he's going to start doing more of that.

At Tuned UpCustom Rods we have 3different blanks in 68 and 7 that we can customize any way you want. Let me know if you have any questions about them.

Has anyone else noticed significantly fewer Pike catches in the past couple years. It seemed like I could expect at least a couple big Pike on any given day out there. This year I haven't seen a single Pike. I know there are a lot of people who spear in the winter. I wonder if it has really affected the population.
BTW, I'm a bass guy and usually hate Pike, but the size on Beebe at least made it worth it.

Never heard about it being illegal. I do it all the time when loading the boat. I tried it at the launch and you end up needing to get in the boat to deploy the motor in the first place and it was easier just to tie it off. But when loading it's great. A lot of the bass guys use their power poles for the same thing.

I've had good luck with the Excide Batteries from Menards. I feel like they were ~$80.

2 Boats on Beebe last night, one breaking through a good sized ice flow. The bay with the houses and the south 1/3 of the lake still had a layer of ice. Schmidt looked to be completely ice free.

Beebe is cracking up, Schmidt is open for at least 200 yards. Pelican nearly all clear. If the wind shifted, it would be all over.

Beebe was opening quite a bit by the dirt road, there also appeared to be a large opening by the island. Schmidt looked like it was covered in ice cubes. I bet it would be possible to motor straight through it. You could actually hear. All the tiny pieces sliding against each other. Maple looked more solid.

Hey All, I am a teacher and I am trying to set up a fishing club at my school. We are focusing our club on girls in 5th grade because we want to grow the sport in areas that are historically underrepresented. We have generous support from Tuned Up Custom Rods who are providing free rods to the girls, Clam Outdoors who are providing free reels, and Fishing Guide Larry Hanson of Larry Hanson Outdoors who is volunteering his time and boat for the day of fishing. We are in need of some funding for transportation and gear for the girls. IF you are interested in helping, please follow the link to the DonorsChoose page for this club.
Thanks,
Dan

I went by Schmidt and Beebe yesterday. The shoreline on both is starting to pull away pretty good. The dirt road area of Beebe had two nice channels of open water where the culverts are. I think it's going to go pretty quick.
