Tried Fish lake near Fergus on Sat pm will good success. fished a rockpile on the south side in 11 feet. Crappies were there and caught fish on the 1st drop and through the heavy snow for 3 hours. All returned for next time. Travel was awful on the lake. Bring chains and a shovel if out there alone. 5mm tungsten in firetiger and gulp minnow accounted for all the fish.

Most of the old snow is hard now. But we had 10 inches in the last two days NW of Otter tail lake. I did see a two wheel drive car on Otter tail this morning about a mile from shore though.

Fished here Sunday for about 4 hours and got one small perch. Tried everything I could think of but all for naught. I guess it's good to get humbled after such a good winter season so far. Any help on this lake would be great. This twin is just NW of Ottertail.

I have broken two blades on my ion over last two years. Now this set has not given me any issues after over 150 holes and only one touch up on the sharpening too. Also no other issues until last week when reverse quite working, talk to company, sent her back to repair and they are replacing the entire head...wow that is customer service!

Spent saturday on this lake, another first timer for me, and found the fish hungry. I talked with a very pleasant young man who suggested where to fish and his advice was golden. Started off a point on outside of weedline in 11 feet and never moved. Constant bite with many doubles and triple hook ups between my nephew, dad and I. Sorted through a lot of small gills and crappies. but kept a bunch for a good fry Sunday. Waxies and maggots again on a perch talker and small tungsten jigs. Pink was the color of choice according to the gills at least. Best of luck folks!

Fished pleasant lake west of fergus today for the first time. Drilled a lot of holes and final settled in 19 feet of the main basin with rock rubble bottom. Fished rolled through about 4-6 pm with crappies suspended at 11 up to 7 feet and gills near bottom. Caught around 35 fish in the two hours they actually fed, all released. 5mm tungsten jig with pink power bait double tail for bait.

Fished East Lost in 21 feet with limited success Sunday. 4 mm tungsten and maggots accounted for most of the fish hooked overall about 55 in all between the 3 of us. Very slow and light bite all day bite. All released to grow another day.

I think their blades are junk too. I have broken two sets and know of others who have had issues also. Love the auger but I think its time for the ION company to fess up and fix this problem.

My 77 year old father and i enjoyed some great ice fishing action the last two days. Caught over 120 gills and crappies and kept enough to feed 4 of us tonight. Fished in 24 feet of water in south turtle and jewert lakes with waxies and plastics with small banana jigs white was the best color. Ice was 10 -11 inches,
