Was out this morning. Lots of gobblers within 400 yds of me but none would come out on the field I was sitting on. About half my calls they would call back to. Seems like to me they are sticking in the woods.

I went out this afternoon around Avon. Sat for around and hour and saw 5 birds 100yds away. Not interested in my calls at all. Tried sneaking up on a Tom in field. Took 50 yd shot and missed.
That's why they call it hunting.
Still was fun
Will be out tommorow morning

Get your snow camo if your not hunting in a blind. Lol. Its gonna suck but I will be out Thursday morning and then again for the weekend. At least it will be warmer by then. Still have all the snow to deal with though.

I know for this last Sunday when it snowed they were saying initially 4-8 inches of snow in the Saint Cloud area. We got like 1 in that melted within the next day. I feel like this one could be a dud too. But you never know until its all said and done. Either way birds are in the mood from what reports are coming in and yeah if it snows a lot it will suck being outside in the dampness. The main thing is the turkeys are still here and didn't fly south LOL.
Good luck everyone going out this next week and hopefully this snow misses us.

Worse comes to worst if they are not in the breeding mood yet, would be to sit on a trail where they go to roost, or where they go to eat. It would be like hunting them in the fall. It is much more fun to call them in though. That's why I hunt turkey in the spring and not fall. Time will tell.
There's always the last season F.
I killed my gobbler last year May 23. Was my easiest hunt ever came right in all strutted out. Had the bird down by 6:30 in the morning.
