Do all the roads have a dumpster as you come in? We go out of Rogers and they got four overflowing dumpsters,so alot is coming in there. I believe you can turn the bottom of the road pass in for a drawing when you leave to encourage you to stop, and drop off your garbage. At least they did last year, not sure this year.

Not sure the snow is so wind blown it gets hard. Not sure if you will be able to bust up the crust if you break through. Don't know if that helps you.

Ok glad you were able to get off on your own. We usually chain our back tires, and go for it. Thx.

I am also heading up tomorrow and was curious as to how others are doing. Not that many reports as of late. The resorts get tons of calls so its nice to hear from different people on different parts of the lake as that may influence where one might go out of.Didn`t relize it was that big of a deal to ask for a report as some fellow LSers may think!

People have been posting some reports. Starting a thread saying I'm going fishing post your reports hear for me is a little arrogant.

We just got back. Went up Monday afternoon, and went out 4.5 miles set up in 15' of water. Caught 3 keepers Monday 5 five on Tuesday, and 2 this morning. We lost a couple nice fish just under the ice,but all the keepers we caught were around 15". Threw back several smaller ones. Weather wasn't on our side windy, snow, and big temp change.

If you think you're going to just go cross country with a wheel house behind you, better have chains at lest. I had my hands full getting back to the plowed road today. There is plenty of drifts, and they are getting hard. Not to mention the land mines they can be hiding.

I got chains on to get away from the road. We came up yesterday, and with the resent snow/wind it will be tough going. Got some good sized drifts to bust threw. If you are wanting to get off on your own,for piece on mind bring plow.
