Frost on a tank can tell you how much is left. You can see where the frost line is your indicator.

good morning , that's a good question. I have been looking for the same. But looking up in the Nevis- Ackely area and found several areas that have access to a lake. The taxes are a lot cheaper than the Brainard lake area, knowing it is a longer drive but worth it.
Beware of people from the people from the Twin cites that are selling their lots, they are asking WAY too much for their property. Look for people who are retired and want to move back south again they will deal with you.

Guys I might be off base . But have you ever gone to the DNR office in St Paul or other regional offices and seen the people they have that are not doing anything but taking up space. I do agree that most Dept do not need new equipment every year, keep them for more than 3-4 yrs.
The way I am looking at it I may not go Hunting anymore with the hike in Lic, at leased I can fish year round for the price of a Lic.
There is alot of DEAD Weight in THE DNR system clean out the people that don't go out in the field and WORK EVERY DAY.
This is my RANT

I am not in favor of using an AR type of gun for Deer Hunting. Would recomand using 243 or 270 bolt action gun. Old saying 1 shot one kill, using an AR style can take many shots Thats not hunting.
My young nephews don't like the thought of using anything but a Bolt Action Rifle.
I am Old Fashion, I used AR style to Kill People when in the Service.

Well guys I have a place south east of Nevis and here by Eagle Bend and after talking to a Trapper , he said use Red fox piss . Spray it around the out side of your buildings. This is a natural mouse detorant . I use 2 bottles , and use it around my boat area also.
