We had fats, rainbows, and shiners last weekend. Didn't catch fish on any of them!

Well we had the opposite experience Saturday the 18th. Fished from 8 am to 8 pm on the south side 2 guys caught 2 fish. Moved a bunch and know what were doing for the most part. Fished 7 fow to 11 fow. Water clarity did not seem like an issue. Marked 2 fish and caught them both. Everyone we talked to was having the same bad luck. Not many fish in the cleaning shack either. Just did not seem like many fish around at all. We were disappointed.

Yes I saw that too. Bite picking up a lot different than "good bite" in my experience as far as resorts go. Who knows. For the guys going, are you going south end or north end? Sounds like about everyone is open for at least foot traffic.

Was thinking about running up this weekend but heard the bite has stayed slow even with the water clearing up. Make the 5 hour run for a few fish... who knows.

Think anyone will try it on foot?

Read where URL is ice as far as eye can see on the east shore. Looks like 0 for a low Thursday. Think anyone will be venturing out on foot this weekend veterans day weekend?

We have really struggled on our annual trip to Basswood the last few years. Been going for 10+ every year.
