We have really struggled on our annual trip to Basswood the last few years. Been going for 10+ every year.

We did fish opener on Winnie. We didn't see a fish caught under 20 inches.

You would be lucky to catch 1 out of 25 or 30 for eaters out there. Fished it opener

I heard it was actually the dam in I Falls and not the forks. Heard fishing was terrible and water clarity was 3 inches. That will shut er down until after 4/15 for sure IMO.

Was out last Saturday and Adrian's road was getting really rough. Plan on 1.5 - 2 hours to get out the 16 miles if towing a wheelhouse. IMO not worth it for the fishing up there right now. Morris Point road was better, but does not get deep enough.

Almost 300 views and no replies so I will try to chime in. I am probably heading for the day this weekend also. From a few buddies that live up there it is very slow on the south end. Not sure what is going on this year with LOW and Red. Have not heard much extension talk, but curious what others would say. I always throw mine in the truck.

Road will be fine IMO. Not supposed to be as warm up there as in the cities.

Heard things have been very, very slow for the most part. I was thinking about heading up this weekend also but not sure it's worth it... Hope others chime in with other info.
