I was on Roberds yesterday and there was about 6 inches of slush in most spots. I have heard Fox had some small cars on it, but also had heard there are a lot of springs out there. I did see a few people getting stuck with 4 wheelers...snowmobile is the ticket.

Good luck.

I have a canvas craft magnum on an otter sled. Its got the norpac insulation, and will stay 80 degrees inside with a standard buddy heater on low when its 10 below outside. The otter sled is pretty dang durable, I like it a lot. Very good choice if you're willing to spend the money.

X2 Canvas craft is the only way I would go after having been in one now!!!

I was going to head out on the dead sea...Roberds.... tomorrow with the wheeler. Was there today but not on the ice, about a foot of water around the edge. Will be my last weekend out.

I had a friend out on french on Thursday and lots of water...caught some fish though....

I too would be interested in knowing who did this hack job. In case I ever get nice slab, I don't want to end up like that. I feel bad for your buddy...

Perch on shields were in 15 feet or less.... Frusterating hard water seasons so far....

Two weeks ago I would have said the Strikelite, but last night I got my solo out for the 1st time....Man what an auger. The Solo has my vote.

Though I primarily use a portable so fumes are a non issue here.

Good luck
