Well fishing continues to be fantastic with more and more big fish showing up mixed in with the smaller fish. On windy days the shallow jigging bite on the rocks is still working but the mid lake structure and secondary break lines are where the majority of the walleye are sitting right now. Give me a call if your looking to get out, I have openings left.

Fishing on the lake has been nothin short of FANTASTIC. Catching tons of Walleyes, northern, smallmouth, and even a suprise 54" Muskie! Pitching jigs and shiners on rocks, sand, and weeds are all working 16-8 fow has been best. Some fish are showing up on the flats but mostly smaller fish. The lake is healthy as ever! I have openings the next couple weeks, give me a call!

With the COLD temps we are getting blasted with as you could imagine it has made staying mobile tough. Crappies and gills have now almost all sunk into the basins. The bite has been okay. As for the people in the rentals a mixed bag has been coming in! Walleye, pout, tullies, jumbos, pike all mixed together. Been finding deeper depths have been a little bit more stable of a bite right now 28-33 fow.

Give us a call and ask about our low weekday specials!!

I wouldn't make the trip no. Wait till it is a little more safe. Not sure how small of a lake you are trying to get on but I haven't seen more then 5" yet and the sun yesterday did some damage to the ice conditions.

It's finally here and almost gone again!! Small shallow lakes and bays I have been finding 3-5" of solid ice but loosing ice as we speak. A lot of the bigger lakes are breaking back open each day with the warm temps and sleet we got the other day, but with that being said, if you can find safe ice the fish are HUNGRY!! Found crappies and gills roaming on flat with mixed in clumps of weeds 13-18ft using small clam tungsten jigs and plastics.

Made a trip to Red on Tuesday and found 4-6" inches of ice but I would expect that to be loosing ice this week as well. Fishing was okay, not the usually early season crazy bite. The water looked as though it had cleaned up a lot I saw about 3-4' clarity. The fish you marked though came and ate with an attitude!!

Once safe ice gets here I will have a house on Red Lake for rental, as well as day trips in portables on Red and the Bemidji Area for Walleyes and panfish.

Good luck, and be safe!!!
