Also being willing to work/walk farther than most. Especially after opening day.

We don't get kill 200 inch tv bucks, by we hunt them the way we want to them and we all make it a goal to kill one better than we did the year before.

Spend lots of time glassing. Don't be looking for a deer, look for an ear, shadow, ear flick etc.

Another dumb tip is they are curious. If you see one bedded down a duck call will get them to stand up to get a better look at them. Also judging a Mulie from behind they look a helluva bigger than what they are.

Where did he say he already applied and received tags? And nothing was mentioned about Mille lacs. I'm glad u have a honey hole that's better than Mille lacs! Especially 10 miles from your house.

Lottery for Wyoming tags is back in March. So if he's going out there this October, he already has tags.

My point about Mille lacs was him making the comment about it being a long way to drive to kill a deer. Guys drive past a lot of limits of walleyes to go fish Mille lacs. Or most lakes for that matter. It's about the experience. I enjoy the long truck ride out to Wyoming. Hell a few years ago we were delayed getting home by like 3 days to the massive snowstorm that came through because we punched our last tag with about a foot of snow on the ground. By the time we got back to Gillette the roads were all **** down.

Long way to go for just deer. I would go during elk season and deer are a bonus.

Why be dumb? His crew already applied and received tags for a hunt they want to go on. You provide absolutely zero value to his upcoming hunt. Elk tags are a totally different price point and season....I can catch just as many if not more walleyes 10 miles from home vs driving to Mille lacs....yet here we are.

Help a poster don't be a jackass.

Everything you just said works up there that time of the year. Don't forget to bring blades either.
