12 LB 37 Inch Walleye caught on Mille lacs???

I was thumbing though the pages of ODN today and noticed a picture on page 42, the caption read:

"Bri Obermueller of Zumbrota caught and released this 37 inch 12 pound walleye while fishing Mille Lacs on July 4Th. The fish hit a reef runner in 32 FOW "

My first thought was Typo, it's gotta be.

Anyone hear or know anything about this?

I just pulled me ODN out of the mailbox and yes...it is a nice fish but 37 inchs may be pushing it. The 27 incher on the cover looks bigger.

There is no way that fish is a 37 incher!! just look at the picture and compare the fish to the women. No way!!

I saw it in the ODN also and I also thought is must be a typo! Although it's a nice looking fish I don't believe it's a 37-incher.

I'd like to see what the real measurements were on that fish.
If I had to take a guess, I'd say that one in ODN went 28 inches, maybe a hair over and 7 to 7 1/2 lbs.

Yeah, if you look at the deer and fish in the ODN that are claimed to be "so" big you'd know there's a little story telling going on.

Only 12 lbs and 37 inches long. HMMM... Canadian record walleye is approximately 22 lbs and 36 inches long ... makes me wonder about the measurements. IMHO.

I agree that at 37" inches the fish would be all of 12 lbs... +8 The length is deffinately off Either that or it was built like a 2x4

According to my length to weight calculator the average 37" walleye would be around 19 lbs
