Hello everyone! It's just around the corner!! Ice, ice, ice.
I know it's a little early, but what does anyone know about the new Solo engines? I did do some research on them, and just found sales type info on it. I'm always excited for new technology. I own a 2007 2hp 9" Strikemaster, and love it! I call it a hungry auger! As far as performance, has anyone watched this new auger work before the reveal of it this year? Is there a benefit, performance wise to have it? Efficiency, and emissions are the two big things for sure. Whatever it my be, I'm still sure it's going to be a hit. Go Strikemaster!

They are awesome augers. Got to see them at Eelpout festival last year. Some of the guys on here who tested them last year will probably chime in. here is a video of Walleyegal getting to play with one last year. Notice how quick it is even with a 10 inch blade on it:

I had one of the few prototypes for a month last year. I thought my Strike-Lite was awesome until I got my hands on the solo. Lots of power and starts easily. Sold my Strike-Lite soon after!

I just got my 10" Lazer Pro yesterday and fired it up. The thing is a beast and sounds great. And for a 3hp, the weight didn't seem any different than the 2hp. I cant wait for some thick ice!!!
