Thanks Sundie, you guys stay between Baudette and 4 mile bay?

Yea we launched out of wheelers point access. Moat fishing was done few miles upstream from lake. All reports I heard east of town was pretty slow. But river was starting to get busy already when I left.

A friend and I fished today Sunday from 7am to 1pm out from frontier...4 keepers in the live well and 8 females released from 21"-26"...got there before the bait stores opened so was forced to go artificial..caught one on a 3.5" chartreuse moxi...and the rest came on rapala deep husky jerks in gold color....caught all fish drifting down stream at 1.5-1.8mph....

Saw a lot of sturg around Vidas. We hooked one big one and gave it 30 minutes before breaking off (Thankfully!). We caught a lot of big walleye on big minnows, I'll post a full report later. RR for future reference I believe Steves Lucky Bait rt when you get into Baudette is open 24 hrs.

Bigwerm, thanks for the info on the bait shop...Only our second time up there from Duluth...Will definitely use that in the future...it was a great day out there...thankfully they were hungry enough for our jerk baits...we didn't see any sturgeon in our area....good luck out there....

we fished wheelers pt on sat and sun. boated 25 fish. not fantastic by any means but still fun. 3 were slot fish and we had a ton of little dinks we lost or a light bite. seen a lot of sturgeon caught and we had 2 on we could not get off the bottom with our light gear. I would say 75% of the boats were fishing sturgeon
