Made it out to a northern metro lake a few days ago. Water temps were 46-47 degrees. Fish were not up as shallow as I thought yet, as we fished 10-12 fow. Hot color was orange earlier in the day then they liked pink vmc's as the day went on. It will be heating up over the next week or so.

Great cstch! What was the presentation of choice? I've done well with 1/64 white flu flu with chartreuse and silver 1" gulp shad over the last 3 weeks.

Thank guys. Best presentation then and still now seems to be white and/pink jig of some sort. Some flu-flu style some plain and small, 1/32 or 1/16 under a slip bobber with a split shot. They seem to prefer waxies over the crappie minnow still. Fish have moved shallower since the last report it seems like, about 5-8fow. Pattern seems to hold for other lakes as well.
