Does the Clam conversion kit reduce the wear and tear on your drill? I just bought a K-Drill and Milwaukee drill and would like it to last.

yes and no. it does take a little bit of wear off the drill. the bearing on the plate takes up some of the wear. as for hooking a k drill to a Clam plate you will need the adapter that either Clam sells or the one vexilar sells. the adapter from clam will only work with the gen 4 plates (ones that you do not take the chuck off the drill). if you have a gen 1 to 3 plate(one you take the chuck off the drill) then you need the adapter that vexilar sells. hope this answers your question.
