Does anybody know where to find a detailed depth map of Savant and Sturgeon lakes in north-central Ontario.I have Topographic of the area just looking for more detailed maps that are better for water navigation.MANY rock reefs /piles that come out of nowhere on Sturgeon.Will be interesting to see resort owners new maps.....he started mapping last spring with lake mapping/gps finders on all their rental boats. Going for a week in late august....getting antsy already.c63

had a coworker fish a lake in central ontario a couple of weeks ago who bought one of the lakemaster ontario chips, said the contours were just the general 5' intervals, but the rock piles were all marked well. looks like there is coverage for sturgeon, but no savant lake. doesnt look like navionics has savant as well

Do you use this product in central/northern Canada? Wondering if gps/nav plots correctly in the northern hemispheres.I cant recall if I can just load up and use the map without gps/boat plotter on screen? I know cell phone is a nogo so mobile apps on phone are useless with no cell reception.I'm not techy at all. Still figuring all this information overload out. Sometimes when out on the water it's nice to go the old school ways.Props and lower units(especially)in Canada remote may tend to want me to use every navagation tool (s)I can.Still no map/app/aide can always replace eyes, ears and gut instinct.Happy boating.......bring more gas and a spare outboard!c63

Last year I brought a helix 5 with autochart live and made my own lake map. Definitely worth it as I could map up reefs and stay on the fish.

I have a helix 7 don't know how to map but would like to learn.Do a need the regular transducer to auto map or will the ice ducer do it to?I know to many questions.c63

I would guess the ice ducer would work but the head unit has to be last years or newer model with GPS.

Happy with the new lakemaster good enough to navigate through the bad spots.Fishing was slow for lakers. Walleye was good didn’t hit the northern spots much great fun food and laughter Had by all!!
