Guessing it needs a carb kit. Haven't ran it in a couple years.
Have a new spark plug and new blade to go with it.

The days of the gas auger appear to be over. I see nice ones selling for under $100. Might be able to get $50 for that one, or just give it to a kid.

Just for reference I sold the exact same auger (model 30, 10") in pretty much the same condition early this winter. I hadn't used it for a few years and it needed a carb kit, otherwise in good condition. I listed it for $50 on craigslist and FB marketplace, sold it in about a week for $40. I was pretty motivated to just get it out of my garage so maybe I could have priced it at $75 and taken $50 after waiting for the right buyer but that seems to be about the top end.

There are a lot of model 30's for sale out there and from what I've seen you've probably got yours priced about double what you could hope to get for it. $150 is the most expensive I've seen and others at that price point are in perfect running condition and look flawless, almost brand new.

Those are the "least sought after" models due to how incredibly loud they are. Yes they were bullet proof. But as stated gas augers are today's dinosaur. Give it to a kid who knows how to work on gas engines. Karma will re pay you.

Not to mention how mother lovin' heavy they are.

If you drop it on ice less than a foot thick you don't even have to worry about drilling a hole, the auger will break right through for ya.
