Time to get the first ice conversation going hopefully. Who in this community is near Mille Lacs and could provide any updates this week and into next? Forecast is looking better for ice making.

I'd love to get out next weekend (Dec. 11 & 12) but am not near the lake to keep tabs.

Looking at temps during the day above freezing and sunny days for the next 10 days. I am not optimistic for walkable ice before the 19th. I am excited to get out there but we need colder temps.

Red Door posted a couple hours ago they have ice out as far as the eye can see.
Cold enough overnights with maybe an hour or two each day over freezing is still going to make ice. No snow or high winds in the forecast.
Looks like my group and I will have the floating suits and a spud bar out the weekend of Dec. 11.

Even alot of smaller lakes are not iced over in the area. Might not be any walkable ice by then with the forecast of 40's by the weekend.
