Leaving for Fish Lake in about a hour. Will have the camera with and hopefully be able to get some pics of fish. Foggy as of now up in the swamp but warm. Temp is now 22 degrees. Wont be near people so if you look for my sled and house you will not find me. But if you do go near the back side stop and say hello. Should be a handful of us out today.

Stay Safe and Have Fun!

I just got home, the crappie bite was a hot one for many of us! I ended up catching 10 for the day from Dark until 6 though none for the pan. There were a few good sized limits for a few of the guys. At one point I had a double going on, with my line and Steve Hatchers which I was watching while he ran Jellio into the landing. All of my fish were on Jammin Jigs Neon tiger tipped with a minnow in about 12-15 ft of water, it was hard to tell since I forgot my Marcum at home!
I know if I had the Marcum along I would have got 20 like some people!

I'd like to thank Steve Hatcher for the rides out and in plus the delicious hot dogs that hit the spot very well.
Steve, please post your relish idea it was great!

It was great not only to get out, it was good to see some old and new friends from both LSF and minnowfaces. Muskiemaniac, It was good to meet you in persopn and share a good day on the ice.

Tomorrow is going to be a warm wet one, maybe it will melt down some of the ruts on the way in.
I won't most likely make it out, so good luck to all that are lucky enough to get out.

I didn't know there was a GTG planned for Fish Lk. But I met up with everyone when I got to the lake. Even got a vennie brat out of the deal. The fishing was decent. I managed to get my 10. All fish came on a small pink glow spoon tipped with a minnow head. Most of the Crappies ranged from 9-11 inches with a few 12's mixed in.

Good to see everyone again.

It was a great time of fish on, fish off. Some bites were hard and some were soft. Of course the Pike hit hard. It was one of those days that I would have to say perfect. Weather was unbelievable, sitting outside, able to BS with each other. The holes after 2 hours didn't even ice up. The grill, yes someone brought a grill and we ate like kings. I will be back on the Ice Monday with my son Joe. And time for another plug, MarCum, that LX-5 works awesome. Yes I will put the relish recipe in that forum.

Stay Safe and Have Fun.

Not as fasted paced as Sat. but it was still a great day to be out. Pic of the city that grew up, and a couple that I brought home.

Hey Guys -

I'm heading up to Duluth with my wife tonight and I'd love to sneak a fishing trip in tomorrow afternoon if we have time. I won't have a 4-wheeler or snowmobile, so I'm wondering if it's worth walking out from the dam on Fish lake or if anyone is driving trucks out yet?

I don't think they are driving out yet though people are fishing to the left of the dam which is not a far walk. I may be up in the afternoon I will have my older 1 man Frabill

Hope to see you out there.
