Hello Everyone.
I would like to give thanks to everyone who has given me good directions on where to fish. I have pulled a few nice walleyes(15-17") through the ice this year already. I found my luck right out from the boulder in the Fish Trap Guide. They like a small, slow presentation with something that glows for sure.

Thanks for everything guys.

P.S. Would there be a better place to look for some bigger(27+in.) walleyes? Maybe out deep?

Thanks again.

Hello to everyone,

I would like to thank everyone who has given me directions on where to fish. I have pulled a few nice walleyes(15-17") through the ice already making me very happy. I found my luck out from the boulder at the landing in the Fish Trap Guide. A small, slow glowing presentation is working the best.

I heard that there are some bruisers hidden among the rubble. Just wondering if I should go deep or...?

Thanks for all the help and I'll try to become a regular.

Great to hear you got on some eyes, Tyler. 27+ in eyes are not impossible on Boulder but prepare to hunt for something that large.

It will be great to have you as a regular here, keep in touch.

Don't forget the Hi Banks Balst on Feb 17 there is more info in the Duluth forum.

Just was out on boulder in about 17 fow. Caught 2 walleyes. 18in and 16in. Slow but she goes. I caught them jigging a glow Swedish pimple. I was just out from the dam 150 yards right of that first small island. Anyone else catching anything here??

Parp,

I haven't been out there in about a week and a half, so I couldn't tell ya. But by the sounds of it, the walleye bite seems to be slowing a bit. Looks like you did good. Those walleyes in that lake are porkers aren't they

I might go and give it another shot sometime this week-end.

Nunnu
