Just wondering if anyone has been down on the north shore for loopers or cohos. I'm planning on hitting it Monday AM depending on the wind. Any reports would be helpfull. thanks...

I talked to a guy last night by the french. I live right by there so it's handy to get some tips every now and then. Said it's been really slow, minus the coho's stealing his crawler all the time :) One looper caught in the last week, 5 days of fishing. He said the occasional hook up on smal coho's keeps him fishing but he hopes it gets better sooner than later. So do I. Good luck all.

I hit the shore near the French this am at 6:30 and stayed untill about 10:00. Had nearly a dozen hits and landed 3 decent coho's. Crawlers suspended were the ticket. nice weather. I'll try again this week.

Nice work! Any nice ones? (over 14inches ;)) That's what the guy I ran into yesterday said. Tons of bobber drops, small cohos on crawlers. Good luck, hope you get a loop soon!

I'm Jealous! Kind of off topic but next time you catch those coho's I would put them on the grill. Make a little tinfoil "boat" and add a melted mixture of butter and brown sugar after they have been on the grill for 5 minutes or so. Butter the foil of course as well.

Nice job MT CREEL and nice tip from Eric. I also love them on the grill, never tried the brown sugar though , sounds good. Too bad I have to settle for some eggs.
