haha I was to lazy to post some pics but i bet i should do that!!

Well lets see...

Thursday-My dad and i fishes mille lacs for perch and got 4 nice ones still a litlle early..IMO

Friday-My dad and i headed up to red in the morning and got there at like 10:30. We got all set up in one cookies shacks. Then we headed out to our spot. this spot is were we fished last yeah and did very well. So we finally get out there and start fishing around 3:00 ish and my dad pulls 2 out like BAM these were some of the most agressive crappies i have ever seen.. some times it was 3 inches down there mouth. So fishing went on and then about 4:00 i move to a hole prolly 20 yards a way and nail 2 more! Then it died off till about 8 and we got one more.. And called it a night at about 9:30..We also lost just as many at the hole..Jake one of cookies helpers lost one at the hole while he was talking to his wife...(way to got jake!!jk) Oh and we fished from 9:30 to about 11 and got 5 keeper eyes in cookies shack!

Saturday-We didnt get out as early but we did mangage some more fish..We got another crappies at like 8:30 and then that was it for the morning...Oh yeah i got a hook a good quarter inch in my thumb...man did that feel good..And then saturday night we got one pike at 32" but that was it for that night

sunday-let me just say that fishing sucked..we fished all day and got one walley A.M. and only got one eye

So all in all a good weekend..But we had to WORK for these fish..i drilled a line of holes one day that was a good 3/4 of a mile...and i went north, south, west, and east, all about 30 holes in a line!

I would like to say thanks to cookie, tony, and jake for making it a great weekend it was a blast...cya ya guys in march!!

There are still crappies in Red lake eh? I was beginning to think they were an endangered species, haven't seen too many reported this year. Good report guys.

You have to work for them just ask spense. The guys out there the last two days that have had success are running and gunning. So if your willing to work for them there's still a few to catch. If you just pick a spot and wait it out you may or may not get any.
