Has anybody fished Whiteface this year???

I'll be up there next weekend and any tips will be helpfull. I expect walleyes to be very shallow, but I am particularly interested in crappie info. Any help is appreciated!

The pic is a few eaters from last years Memorial weekend on Whiteface. The date function on my camera needs to be fixed still :)

I wanted to go up there today. However, we have 30mph winds and it's about 36 degrees so I'm going to wait. I'm still learning whiteface so I can't offer much help yet. Good luck.

I will be on Whiteface early this week fishing walleyes. I have only consistently found crappies in two small shallow bays. Crappies are fairly elusive in those water too. Our family cabin is in the south part of the lake (Harris Bay) and we usually stick to that part. I'll give a report once I know something.

Was there yesterday in the snow and gale force winds. Fishing was slow as I expected during these conditions but we still managed to catch a few fish. Did better with slip-bobber than jigging. Fished 12' or so. Don't know anything about the crappies.

Our property is right around the corner, Beaver Bay off of South Pit Rd. We'll be up there in 2 weeks. We'll have to hook up for some beers and lies and yes the crappie are elusive there too.

We found a nice mix of eyes and crappies yesterday on a small rocky reef using a jig/minnow as well as slip-bobbers. Water is a little high right now and some small islands that ware usually exposed are submerged. Be careful and good luck!

Fatter- pm me when you will be up there.

Well, the weekend was not a disappointment. Incredible weather and a good fishing made it a memorable Memorial weekend.

The walleyes were biting fast and furious most of the day, with evening being the best. Medium leeches were the #1 choice, followed by fatheads. Shallow reefs topping off at 6-8 feet seemed to hold the most fish.

We kept 8 walleyes for dinner all between 14-16 inches, and a fat perch which went 12 inches. No crappies to be found, but nobody cared because our poles were bending the whole time!

Thanks for the help LSF'rs
