My dad has an xog that is only about 1-1/2 years old. After the satellite position is locked on the unit makes a sound like someone touched the screen and goes to the satellite page. After "xing" out its fine for a couple minutes and does it again.

I've also heard that Lowrance quit making the xogs and they no longer service them.

Anyone have any problems with their xog's? Or has anyone else heard that they quit making and servicing them?

They will probably still service them but for a large fee. I know they want about $130 to service the H20.

Almost better off getting a new one if they still sell them. I know you can still get them online, but the stores that I have checked no longer sell them.

Have you hooked it up to your computer to upgrade it? They put out a notice not long ago that there was a upgrade pertaining to the nav system on your unit. If you have not done so go to Lowrance site and click on upgrades sroll down to Xog. Might help.

I noticed a few of them at Wally World for $140 if he really wants to buy another lowrance.

Ive done all the upgrades on it.

Rippin, Im not saying that the xog is junk. Ive never had any problems with mine. Maybe my Dad just got a "bad one".?

I bought one last january, had issues with it staying locked on sat. sent it in under warranty they decided it had a receiver problem and would replace it. Problem is it has been discontinued and on back order for over 4 months. Spoke with customer service yesterday and they offered me My cash back ( $150) if I sent the cords, manual ect. back to them OR a Endura Sierra free of charge. Nice jesture, supposed to be a great unit but I don't think anyone makes a map card that is compatible with this unit. Uses micro SD. I am waiting for a response from the Lake map makers. I may decide to dump this unit on ebay and buy something I can use with the Map card I have. You may also have one with a bad receiver, I believe this is a BIG problem with this unit and that may be the reason they discontinued this item. I liked mine while it worked, I hope the Endura lives up to the hype if I decide to keep it.

Ive had mine for about 1-1/2yrs and have not had any problems. Cross my fingers! I use it all the time and I think its great!
On the other hand a buddy of mine has one and he hates it!
Its just one of those things...I guess!

I really like my XOG.. One time it quite working on me and Sunkinboat. Travis found a reset port on the cord side of the unit and he reset it, its been working good ever since. You might try to reset it.
