Strikemasters/SOLO's new view on "other" oils.
Anonymous
Quote-

We have been working very hard the last two weeks regarding the synthetic oil question. After discussions with SOLO USA and some test. Solo’s position is that as long as a good quality two cycle oil (regular or synthetic) is used and the mixture ratio... is no higher than 50:1, the warranty remains intact. I hope this helps everyone and if you have specific questions please give us a call. StrikeMaster Service Department.

Glad to hear this! More to come.

I just picked my Lazer Pro up yesterday. I had to start mine up too! The Solo motor is going to be very nice guys. If you are looking at getting a new auger this year, you really can't go wrong with any of the Strikemasters. I am really excited to get it out and start drilling some holes!

Is that in writing somewhere? Just asking for warranty purposes.

I ran the Solo motor last year and it was a dream to use. The ease of drilling through 30 inches plus of ice was amazing. Guiding up in Bemidji area and having the chance to fish lakes like LOW and Red Lake where the ice gets thick fast--this auger is the perfect answer... Two key features of this auger for me are the RPM's and the weight of the auger... You will not be dissapointed with this sweet auger... Another plus, they are not made in China...

So is everybody that is using Amsoil going 50:1? Looks like I'll have plenty of gas for the snowthrower this year as I had to get another can to mix the auger 50:1. I had just mixed a gallon 100:1 for my old Lazer Mag Express before deciding to get the new Solo the next day.
