I will be hunting in Itasca county and the weekend forecast is calling for low 50's. I don't know what scent to use.. are the deer going to be in rut? I am either thinking Code Blue doe urine or Tink's #69. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all!

I started using Buck Bomb this past weekend and the deer have been ripping my mock scrape up pretty good. I was using Doe Estrus

I picked up some Special Golden Estrus and Code Blue. I also have Wildlife R. Active Scrap in a dripper out right now. Like Jmnhunter said anything by Wildlife Research is good stuff.

I used Tinks #69 a few years back and the deer would come in and then get spooky. After 3 days of that I tossed it.

I will also be in Itasca County. Where abouts you going to be?

Really, where at? We have 10 acres in our family on Moose Point Road its off of county rd 17 on the south side of pokegama. The lake is just on the other side of the road from us. We also have a place on Big Winnie on plug hat. I have not decided where I will go opening day.

I'll be hunting Itasca County as well, north of Nashwauk. I'm curious about the scents too. I never seem to have any luck with that stuff. Just stinks up the car.

I just tried Code Blue, it brought back fond memories of the urinals at the 'Dome. No deer came racing down the trail on a suicide mission though.

I almost hit a doe with my truck and as soon as I came to a stop, a six pointer dashed across the road chasing that doe. I think the rut is here
So I'm gonna try some doe in heat, maybe Buck Bomb if I can find any (Walmart was sold out). Hunting hard from here on out. Good Luck!
