What lake are you fishing? PM me and I can give you some info. Anyways I like fishing shallow on dirty high pressure 15-25 fow. On a regular high pressure "sunny skies" I like 35-55 fow, Low pressure is hit and miss and I find the day after low you might as well bring extra beer as fishing usually is slow. What are they feeding on? It's a waiting game basically when you catch one odds are you have to wait for the next pack to swim threw. Sometimes after a low passed threw the lakers will sit there for hours watching your bait. I've seen fish circle it slow for hours, rubbing there nose on the bait gently, they even play cat and mouse with the sinker. Then after hours of watching the same fish play with your bait you see a missle streak threw and your line is spooled before u know it. Laker fishing is exciting its worth the patience to hook your first one. There's no right or wrong way to do it. Everyone has different techniques and methods.
