Has anyone heard if any of the local lakes froze over during the last couple days?

Your kidding right? Maybe some pudles in the back yard. If your lucky a small pond. Be patient I still have a few fall open water trips to get done.

Small shallow ponds S.W. of the cities where froze till 1pm or so today.
Will I need the auger for Lk S. thurs.?

Not local Tim,

But there was Ice in the bays on Andrusia this last weekend. Very Very thin ice I will say.

Kidding? Not a chance, I've been patient since April.. The pond outside of Engwalls Florist has been froze over for about 4 days. It looked walkable yesterday.

Open water trips? You may wanna bring a spud bar and your ice gear, you may need it..

Whatever ponds etc. I have seen with skim ice are open by 11am. If you want to walk on the ice bring a wetsuite, snorkel and a life jacket.
Im saying the week before Thanksgiving Ill be walking on water some place. Maybe sooner on 1 little honey hole I stumbled on a few years back.
