I figured the warm day before a snap back to the colder weather would switch things on. Shows what I know!

huge pannies no doubt, but remember a sheet of paper the long way is only about 11". Either your left hand is freakishly large or....

I'm a large dude and just held up my hand to the biggest gill I ever caught (I've only seen one bigger in person) and it didn't look smaller than your pic. Maybe your right, and I'm full of it,, just saying 15 is beyond a MN state record.

a quick record search online produced:

Michigan 2 lbs 12 oz - 13.75" Vaughn Lake Gary Saylor 1983

Minnesota 2 lbs 13 oz - 13.60" Alice Lake Bob Parker 1948

Arizona 3 lbs 15.68 oz - 15.75" Goldwater Lake Christopher Ray Mapes 5/2/2004

World record Bluegill! - 5lbs 7ozs
Caught by Amos Gray in 1998, somewhere in SC
- picture attached...

>>>>>>>
Anyway, did you guys hear about the one armed fishermen???? It was THISSS big (joke teller holds up one hand extended.....) - fishing favorite of mine.

I don't think anyone has to argue about a 15" 'gill not being legit, and we all know that crappie isn't 16", but it's a fisherman's nature... ;) They're good fish, no doubt. Welcome to LSF, Jamie.
